Here is my 1996 Larry "Larue" Haymes custom. It is Cocobolo with Ivory points. The pictures do not do it justice.

These are all of my Cues, except a old Brass joint Championship cue from 1974 and a Wal-Mart Titanium Halex cue that i keep in the car. I call it "Car Cue". I had a LePro tip put on it, and it play's pretty good. Better
than an off the wall cue if i go play at lunchtime or after work.:)

Yes i had jay make it to match my Palmer. he started it in oct of 1987
and it was done Dec 87.:D

Is that the Palmer Scot just refinished? I like the color a lot, and hadn't seen another in a model "A" like it. It's nice to see a Palmer with the original 2 tone wrap.

If that's the cue, while he did that dark blue I had also sent him a light blue model "B" - which is also a color I had not seen before.

I like your Flowers case. There are more examples on my web site under "Colectible Cases", Tooled Leather cases. Jay Flowers was an interesting character. I had a chance to speak with him shortly before he passed away last year.

Hey Chris,
My Palmer is 100% original. I don't know who Scott is. Jay was a great guy
i used to hang out with him,Steve Cook,George Mccorkandale and Wayne Gunn at Bakers in Tampa. :)
I bought the Palmer from a colege student in 1975 who was from New Jersey for $35.00. Best 35 bucks i ever spent.:D His roommate had a Plamer also with the "palmer" in the Butt cap.In the original black case.
he would not sell it to me.

Mike

Mike,

Here's Proficient's web site - he just refinished one just like yours - check out the picture of the cues here's working on (if he doesn't change it) - it has the one like yours and the baby blue one I had right under it:

As you can tell, I like Palmers!

What;s an old Palmer like this worth?

His, being original and having the two tone wrap, probably at least $400. What keeps them reasonable is the fact that they made a lot of the Model A Palmers. Those bar cue Palmers and Paradise cues were some of the better players of their day, converted from old one-piece house cues.
