Allison Fisher is currently 3-0 in her group and will advance to the next round.
Sarah Ellerby ended up a very immpresive 3-1 and her only loss was by a slim 8-7 count to Keith Bennet. She also will advance to the next round.

For the other women things aren't looking to promising.
Robin Dodson, Gerda Hoffstetter and Kelly Fisher are hanging on by threads mathematically with one win each, however, are virtually in must win situations to advance.Hoffstetter finished up 1-3 and needs two other players at 1-2 to both lose their matches and also by favourable mathematical winning percentages.
Robin Dodson is in a must win situation and/or needs help from another match.Kelly Fisher needs to beat Orcullo or can squeeze in mathematically if help comes from another match.

Karen Corr is doomed at 0-3 and all the other remaining 9 ladies are winless and will not advance.

By the looks of it only 2 (or maybe more) out of 15 ladies entered look like they will advance.

The only thing I can say about this is that each female player was an automatic 5:1 at worst and 3:2 at best in their groups to advance. This is because they were placed at one lady per group on purpose because they are women.

Well, we are now seeing how they stack up and so far I am pretty impressed by most of the women I figured would do well.

Even Kelly has lost impressively and was at five/five against the two players she lost to so far.

This one's gonna be tough for sure. Kelly vs. the "strongest" player (yeah I know Abood won all his matches) in her group for her last match and Catledge faces the weakest player.

This tournament is TOUGH ACTION all the way around.

GO SARAH ELLERBY! How strong did SHE PLAY!!!

John

Gerda and Loree Jon advance also if i read things right.

Edit-Looks like IPT error in computing LJJ winning percentage-then again it is late here on e coast.

Did i read Loree Jon's group wrong? She looks through to me.

On second look, the IPT seems to have made an error in her W%.

God, how hard could it be? It's a simple calculation. They must be having a tough time inputing the data correctly.

What's the tiebreaker scenario? Lil Jon Macias beat LoreeJon head to head?
Does the game winning % go before that?

Kelly is in. ...

Kelly Fisher ended up 3rd in winning percentage. Does matches wins take precendence over winning percentage or not?

No, the calculations are correct. Loree Jon won 22 of 42, Macias won 27 of 55, while Dominguez won 23 of 51. Loree Jon won both her matches 8-2, which helped a lot !

(AZ, IPT.com, and Excel :) )

Ok, now I am sweating Austin Murphy and Danny Basavich. We (Fury Cues and Stering Gaming) sponsor Austin. Whoever wins the match advances.

Lots of matches like that.

No kidding. I was getting a tad annoyed at how long these matches were going ... of course silly me forgot to 'refresh' (F5) and was looking at old cached pages :o . Sorry to say but Basavich won a hill-hill battle ... I was cheering for the 13 year old too.

Kelly Fisher is out with only one win out of four matches.Three other players had at least 2 wins or more.

Glad to see Loree Jones and Gerda Hofstetter advance to make it four women advancing in total.

This sure is a funny thread.

All the complaints and criticism of the IPT and then later the person has to admit that the IPT had it right all along and they had it wrong.

It's not easy to be perfect; is it?
