Allison won the Women's Division of the DCC Straight Pool Challenge sponsored by Bob Jewett with a run of 56.
Jeanette finished second and Kim Shaw third.
Allison needed one more rack to qualify for the Open Division finals. She played for a below-the-rack break shot but came off the Key Ball a TOUCH too far off the foot rail and put the CB into the rack area.
The break ball was laying 1/2 b all off the foot rail and from the kitchen, she called the corner ball in the rack to kiss off the break ball for the corner and GOT the kiss but the OB jawed out!
By the way...huge kudos to Bob Jewett for sponsoring the Challenge out of his own pocket and for creating a Women's Division too!
