sure?

NICE piece of curley on the front from what I can see, the butt doesn't look as interesting. Handle, segmented, in my opinion, looks better when there is more going on in the cue. Points, inlays, FANCY ringwork, something.

But, I love all maple cues .....

Cue

I would throw more contrast in the kinds of wood but if you made it on a wood lathe then you are my hero. That can't be easy.

Hello Jeff, I also started on a wood lathe, I then bought a Porper Repair Lathe, and I then purchased a Porper B Lathe. The cue is certainly a good start, however, in the future I would consider not having so many segmented area's, it just begs for movement and a wobble at a later date.

How did you join the different sections together? Are they joined with a tenon and a connection screw, or is everything slide on a long tenon?

How are you tapering the butt of the cue? I use to take a measurement at the joint area and make small cuts until the end to complete the taper. Now I just use a router and a taper bar.

Keep up the good work, I would enjoy seeing more!!!!

have a good night!!!!!!

Great job! especially for building it on a woodlathe. I like the way the clearcoat makes the curl on the forearm pop out. Great work.
