hello everyone. my account has been messed up for some time now so i havent been able to post any lately but with the brilliant help of a certain person here we finally got it all worked out. so i will probably be posting alot. anyway...

i am wanting to get a cue made and have already come up with the design for it and i am hoping that someone like "blud" or maybe another cuemaker out there can help me get it made. i brought my "design" to a friend of mine that makes cues here in birmingham and asked him a ballpark figure and he told me, but i have really never cared for the way his cues played. i am currently playing with a Schon and love the way it hits. so i would want it to play like a schon. even if i have to use my shaft and make it work. so if anyone wants to give it a crack then let me know and ill put the pictures up here somewhere.

Why don't you just order a Schon?
 
thats a good idea... just one problem

i already have a schon. i want the butt of the cue to look a certain way and schon doesnt make that design. plus there are plenty of cue makers that put food on the table for there children and families by make cues such as the one i want and i dont mind helping them out and letting them make a cue for me even if it is just the butt of the cue that i am wanting. i love the way my schon plays and that is why i want it to play the same way and im going to be using a schon shaft. but i would rather have the EXACT cue that i want (the design of the butt) rather than have a nice cue that plays good but its not what i want. thats why you have custom cue makers in my opinion. but i could be wrong.
 
Have you ever tried playing with other cues? Maybe you'll like the hit of a Scruggs, Mottey, Skip, Dayton, Capone, Gilbert, etc better than the Schon you have now.

Yeah, if Schon would have made their cues with non-steel joints, and a big pin with no insert, i might have played with one longer :D .

Oh yeah, and made some wrapless designs as well... Wraps make me feel all funny :rolleyes: :D :p .

my history

i have had all types of cues from production cues to espiritu, and rowell custom, andy gilbert cues, and mut cues (butt of one cue and shaft from another). and i just like schons better. i like the solid feal and i am use to the deflection already.. plus its just what i want. i have never tryed a scruggs cue, but i have played with a Rick Howard and thats who i am really trying to get to make my new cue for me. i loved his cue. if we can get the details correct im not really worried about a time frame. just want exactly what i want.

i have probably had 30 cues total in the few years i have been playing..
