It has Ivory's coloring but it doesn't have ivory's grain. Unlike gold, ivory doesn't cost that much nor hard to work so if I want an ivory look - I use ivory.

ther are some substitutes.

Sometimes Holly wood is nice. It has some grain, and a cream color. But Ivory is best. Though many of us do not want to use Ivory. I have mixed feelings myself, though I admirer the character of Ivory!
