Aluminum joint protectors

Hey i've made a few sets of joint protectors out of aluminum...just for fun in my spare time...i've sold a couple of sets but still have 4-5 sets...they are 5/16-18...just something different...the pics are the ones i've been using for a year or so they are kinda scratched i'll fresh polish any i send out...let me know if anyone has any interest...i'll take $20 plus shipping which shouldn't be much

Sometimes aluminum into steel or steel into aluminum can cause problems.

electrolysis can cause seizing and/or heavy blemishing

You've got a valid point...but i've been using mine for over a year and have no trouble..i never take my case out of my car....and the joint protector for the butt is counterbored..so you don't have to screw it all the way on....my thread insert in my shaft is brass....i may be the only
one that likes them...that's what i'm trying to find out..:)

Oh look on the bright side- you'll be rid of that unwanted joint hair, forever!

LOL ....only when your doing 400 mph with expozed area's to the air for long periods of time not touching the ground (Grounded) or in the ocean (salt water) causing friction !! .... Never guess what I do for a living ???

Thanks....your right ...i do need more thread sizes..seems like most joints are a bastard size....i can single point the the threads...but i'd have to buy the taps which i would with enough interest...

Moisture is the enemy (and salt moisture is the worse). But more specifically, moisture that is stagnant.

Had a friend who had some nice wheels and they used aluminum bolts to connect the center cover over the lugs to the wheel. They didn't use an anti-seize compound and when he had to take the lug cover off one day to get to the lugs to remove the wheels, they were all frozen. The bolt heads had to be twisted off and the rest of the bolt had to be drilled out.
 
Still have a few set if anyone is interested...would anyone be interested in.. say a 3/8-10 or a 5/16-14...if so i'd make some of those...

sure would be interested..was thinking if it's possible for u to have more designs?maybe carve some points or inlays?

I think 3/8x10, 5/16x14 .. along with radial pin, are the most common threads now. I hardly see a new cue with 5/16x18 threads.

Also can you do different shape? I like old schon JPs.
