Aluminum tube case

I'm looking for a 1x1 or 1x2 aluminum tube case. I see that Prather has them and hope they have some at SBE. Anyone else out there making these?

It's for when I tour on motorcycle so waterproof is job one. I had one in the '60's but it's long since disappeared.

Not sure about current production models but if you can locate an old McDermott tube case, it will serve your purpose well. I have two and carry either all the time. Sturdy and strong.

I have one from Prather

Jeff graciously put my cue in one of these aluminum cases before he shipped it. They are well made, super tough and heavy duty. These could probably survive a house fire! You put your cues in one of these little cloth sleeves:

And this goes inside the aluminum tube. It is a super tight fit even with just one shaft. Not ideal for regular transport but prefect for what you need (motorcycle trips). An added feature to this case is that if you get in a bad situation you could really knock someone out with one of these and your cues will be just fine. They are cheaper than any worthwhile 1x2 leather case so I would recommend giving it a try. Give Prather a call, if you don't like the case I bet they would let you return it. Great people.

Best of luck to you:thumbup:
