Am I correcting for squirt without knowing it?

Sloppy Pockets... You're correct that in close shots (less than 2 feet between CB & OB) there will be very little squirt/deflection...unless you are way out on the edge of the CB with your tip, or you're shooting REALLY hard.

Scott, are you saying that squirt/deflection is less when the cue ball and object ball are close together? And that there is more squirt/deflection when the cue ball is hit hard?

The squirt angle doesn't change; the CB just naturally goes offline by a smaller total amount over a shorter distance.

There's less swerve, which looks like more squirt.
