If I had not just moved from Amarillo back to Houston I would so be there. Never got the chance to play at Slims but heard great things. Next time I am in town I will be sure to stop by.

No, the tournament is on Valley barboxes 3 1/2 x 7

Slims has 8 4 1/2 x 9 GC , and 8 3 1/2 x 7 Valley barboxes. Simonis 860

Oh so there is some other tables than bar boxes in Amarillo lol. Well other then Fast Eddies.

Dang! I wish I had known about this one sooner!
I used to open that place up and close it down 7 days a week after Harvey's closed.

Hope the action picked back up again, it died off bad a few years ago, although I heard there was still some around.
Just not like it was 10-15 years ago.....
Any rumor's on who's playing yet?

Only a few rumors, nothing confirmed yet. I use to work at Harveys and have been going to slims since Fuzz has owned it. I think this will be a very good one indeed.

Robbie Tims with Behind the 8 Ball cue repair will be there with his lathe to handle all your cue repair needs, I am sure he will have some cues for sale as well.

What is the cut off for entries? 32? Also, is there a list to get on? (early entries)
 
Cut off is 64 players , and you can call and talk to Joe Bouska @ 806-282-9662 for details on entry information.
 
just a short update

Just got off the phone with a friend of mine.
37 players showed up.
1st place in calcutta 1100 I think
He said Joey Gray was there, and that he was first pick.

i'll be back with a better, more detailed update later tonight.
 
Ok. They're done for the evening and there's 16 players left. Joey Gray, James Davis Jr, and Brian Sanders are all on the winner's side.
