Amateur championships in Atlanta, Nov. 2-4 - anyone going?

I sure wish I was going but got beat in the finals 11-8, left before you finished your match so I guess you won it. What was the score? It was great meeting you and hope to see you in Shreveport again next year, maybe this ole guy can hang with the "young guns" and finally win a spot again. Got to the finals two years in a row, this year I even showed my AARP card but that didn't work either.

Good luck in Atlanta.

It was nice meeting you Les. There was some nice competition there and the matches are relatively short. On the fast rolling tables, it is easy to overplay shape. My score on the last match was 11-8. Wincing and worrying about the fact that the other guy was coming from the one loss side didn't do me any good but I squeaked out a win nevertheless. I would have liked to have tried your one pocket game. Maybe next time.

Good luck with your league!
Best regards,
JoeyA

Ah cool, I know Samm. Did she qualify at Shakespeare's this past weekend? And if so, do you know who took it on the men's side?

I guess that means Kathy *didn't* :P
Yes but I diddent go to see her play this past weekend I have pneumonia and am not doing much untill these horse pills the doctor gave me start working. I will ask her who won the mens when I talk to her again. Chris

Thanks Joey, it was a pleasure to meet a fellow AZ'er out there. Yep, they were some fast tables but I sure love to play at Schicks place and one hole would be great on those tables. Maybe we can at least play a few games together next year, good luck in Atlanta.

It's this week

I want to make sure I meet my fellow Azbers this week in Atlanta .. perhaps we can actually put our real names out there so we can introduce ourselves :)

Hey .. does anyone know the name/address for the host hotel?

The name of the hotel is Holiday Inn Select - Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody (770.457.6363).

FYI, I just called Mr. Cues and asked if they have wifi set up - they do.

Dunno if anyone else cares, but this means I can camp out there tomorrow, watching my friends play, AND be online and getting work done. Mwah. :P

Good Luck To Hunter Tour Players

Oh, yeah, I'm glad to hear Mr. Cues has wifi. I'm hoping someone posts updates throughout the weekend.

Sending out best wishes, stroke em good and you go girls, to several regular Hunter Classic Tour members--Samm, Christina and Lisa.

Will be thinking of you all and hoping you all play your hearts out. :D
