Amateur pool with josh Powell you tube page! And apa shenanigans

On The Snap is good, too. He's very methodical and you can tell he loves the game. He shoots a little slow and is quite a bit less charismatic than Josh from Amateur Pool. But Anthony from On The Snap does shoot well and I appreciate his fondness for pool..
He plays very much like I do. I’m not in a hurry. The slower I play the better I play .
talk about shooting yourself in the face......let's face it, playing pool is not the most popular game for the young, so you have a guy , promoting your league for FREE, talking about how much fun it is, on the internet where you might reach this younger generation and you stop him? WHY?
Yeah the apa is very cocky on a national level. Let’s face it at this point no one is as big as they are and they know it And seem to treat their customers like they are doing them a favor providing a pool league.

There was a channel going back a long time by a guy named Tim Dupree that was one of the first like this. He didn't do any commentary, just some generic music to deal with not having the music from the venue carry over into the video. His clips were shorter most times.
Since watching a few of the Josh and PDN clips, I'm also seeing Poolside Chat from a guy named Todd on my feed doing similar videos, and there's a few others now too, so this seems to be a growing genre for the YouTube creators. There's probably almost a dozen different channels posting this kind of content now. All similar, but all with a slightly different vibe.

Poolside chat is just ok. He seems to think that he is much better than he really is, which comes across poorly in his videos. I liked the way that Drew Von Port laid out graphics on the table to discuss position lanes and zones. Anthony (On the Snap) is probably the best of the group and is showing his progression through hard work, which I like.

I just wish they would quit lying about their “Equalizer” hcp system. When you have lost SEVERAL matches in a row, most to lower hcp players, and your hcp finally lowers to where it should be, it goes right back up after just ONE WIN. One f***ing win where your opponent tanked to insure your win. I have no other pool league options. Sucks to be me!!

There’s more then a dozen.. people seemed entertained by it and it’s pool so if you content is decent I’ll subscribe. Josh is one of those guys that knew nothing. Threw a camera up and it blew up for some reason and he’s been learning how to be a content creator as he goes

I like anthony a lot.. he doesn’t teach but he will make a video showing hey guys I just learned this system and here’s how I’m seeing an improvement But he doesn’t try to act like he‘s anything but a guy learning trying to get better. I think that resonates with a lot of us

we have pretty many options around here. I only play masters and we just won a trip to Vegas. I just found out if you only play masters you can’t play in any mini’s which I think is silly. I’m a 7/9 just make me play as that handicap or even if your not make a rule that if you only play masters then whatever your handicap is you have to play as a 7/9 in the mini’s. It Sucks because the mini’s is where I can make the trip worth while with more play and maybe make a few bucks.

I enjoy Drew Von Porter. Some of his commentary on APA matches is entertaining.

He’s good . He’s done some collabs with the other guys

There are APA operators that got rich doing this. Post-COVID I have witness various operators purchasing new homes with sports cars. All is well I guess and good for them. A lot of hard work goes into it. This isn't a problem and the real problem is the cheating I heard that happens with these leagues. Cheating and sandbagging seems to be the common theme here. Its talked about all across the internet and on various sites.

He hasn't posted anything new in about 2 months. I like his stuff and wish he would get back into it.
I’m guessing he got pretty busy with the Ultimate Pool event he played in. He also got married a while back. The three main guys we are talking about, Josh, Drew, Anthony, have all improved their game. Watching your matches on video must be pretty beneficial.
