I recently had these cases made by Roger at Volturi Custom Cue Cases. If any of you all have followed my collections over the years I have had many 1 of a kind and exotic cases made. Many of the exotic cases Ive had made were by Jack Justis. Since Justis is now retired I found another case maker who I believe makes the best cases in the world. He is not a case company that has his employees make the cases as he designs them and makes them himself. Roger does all the tooling himself. Pictured are cases made of stingray, shark and crocodile.

These are some fantastic cases. Exceptional workmanship and use of exotic leathers. You obviously kept him busy for quite some time!

Yes they are stunning and a true art form made by a master craftsman. Can I say craftsman? Oh well hopefully I won’t be censored for that.

Anyway. I do wonder if they will ever see daily use at a pool hall. Not likely I think. Can you imagine leaving one just sitting by a table while you went to the washroom. Probably not. So are they practical? Yes and no. But they are very nice to look at.

I like my old beat up Murnak. It was a prototype, one of his first cases. It has been tossed around, dragged, dropped and some of the zippers do not work. The hardware is failing but after all these years it still protects my cues just fine. It ain’t much to look at but it does the job for me. Paid 135 bucks for it all leather 3x5 configuration.

Just my random thoughts late at night after playing leagues.

Enjoy the cases. They are very nice!

Here is mine.. Roger did an Amazing job.
