today i went to the mall, and there was a sports store called gaylans. i asked to see the billiard cue section. they had these cues from minesotta fats company. the unbelievable thing was, even though the cues were total crap!!!! graphite shafts, retail $29.99 the butt sleeve, was the most incredible i ever saw!!!!! it was a lava lamp!!!! see-thru, with your choice of blue or red gel, inside this gel was two little balls an 8 and a 9 ball. now for the real cute part, when you take a hit, or put your cue on the ground, the entire butt sleeve LIGHTS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am not kidding with this, and i have to say, pretty damn cool! what a great gimmick to sell pool cues! anyone else see these?

i saw one the other day

i saw a girl playing with one the other day that was the first time i ever saw anything like that

I am all for pool hitting the mainstream, but that is just rediculous. Maybe that is just the purist in me.

IMO, this ranks right up there with nite time Par 3 golf courses, putt-putt, Neon lights on a pool table, and RAP music... definately directed to the teenagers.

Someone will make money on this.....

i'm not saying, this is a great playing cue, for the serious player, but i am saying, without question the greatest, coolest gimmick, i ever saw! in fact, i would bet, there is going to be a pro using one, for a decent amount of payola, and you know what? i bet it will sell more than any other cue ever made! like it or not. can you imagine this cue on a black light glow in the dark table set up? !!

You STILL won't be able to use it on your PLAY Station II...

(C)Rap and Music do NOT belong in the same sentence together.
And, the over use and erroneous use of like should likewise be banned to the Valley Girl mentality.

Neither should Country and Music, and Pop and most everything else released in the past 5-10 years.

and yet it's the biggest selling albums in the world? And it's what keeps the pool hall busy. Take it out and some pool hall might even be shutting down.

Actually, when The Beatles greatest hits album was released a few years ago, it shot up to #1 immediately. Even though they've been gone for years. For me, that tells you something about music these days.

Also, Led Zeppelin still has the #1 most requested song ever.

the reason they sell, is because of stupid white teenagers who think they are black, and they have nothing else to spend their money on... All i hear is mutha f#$ka, mah dick, mah dick, mah dick, yo mamma, mah dick...

Thanks

Jon

If you want some action, I suppose it would be a good idea to get one of these cues, put a good shaft on it, put on some window pane glasses with dark plastic frames, wear plaid pants with white socks and black shoes a cheap sports jacket with a mismatched shirt buttoned at the collar and walk into a big town pool hall. Of course you could get your ass kicked in too!

Led Zep and a few other classic rocks will never die IMO. Those are "real" songs. Skynyrd, GNR....i love listening to them especially if i'm playing pool......but nothing wrong with rap at least a few of them. Nas, 2Pac.....their songs are deep and has meanings not just F!ckF!ckF!ckF!ck @$$ and all that crap them new people are saying.
