Amazing pool shots from Efren Reyes

one thing to consider is that was on new Stevens cloth along time ago and it is real slipery when its new and plays different than new Simonis,

i have thought about it and I dont think he intended to land where he did, look at his record, yes he comes with "magic" shots all the time, this is a trick shot that got out of hand and landed good, my first instinct isd he hit the CB around 2. however these kind of shots arnt part of my game and I dont study them so my opinion is weak. What a feel strongly about is he got a roll I jhavent seen him play a trick/stroke shot like that before, typically his trick shots are kick shots or crazy strong safety shots not masse shots.

the kickshots and strong safeties are typical Efren shots alright. however, let us not forget that he's also a positional player and an entertainer. As I watched the clip, I believe it was his intention to land on where the CB landed. there is no logical explanation if he would do a force-follow like that and land with no clear path on the 7 and making the 7. I'm considering his knowledge on 3C and balkline which could had influenced that shot.

I think he was intending to have the same line to shoot for the next ball but
he hit it so good that the CB just died on him. The CB needs to roll a couple
of more inches and that's what probably he had in mind, but nobody's perfect,
even Efren! :D

Taking the tangent of the cue ball after impact only tells us that the cue ball was struck just a little lower than the middle of the cue ball with right english and a good followthrough.

But what is truly amazing about that shot is when it was applied - not in a trick shot contest - in a tournament! Efren is not only simple and honest, he's about the most ball-table intelligent pro around. And then he takes his next shot left-handed!
