I WANT TO BE THE AMBASSADOR OF OLYMPIC BILLIARDS -
- but I need all your help - this is my idea to a start

A) A competition format needs to be presented to the Olympic committee based on skill in all games. Based on points, not challenged races. If you want to help in the creation of this manifest. Please do so by private message.
B) ALSO, send me a PASSPORT STYLE head shot pic that will be included in this format (see below) to print. This magazine will be organized by current rankings and locations ( COUNTRY, STATE, CITY, POOL ROOM - BY doing so you warrant the need of BILLIARD OLYMPICS. Don't be reluctant to do this because your Olympic profile will have the same information. With an Olympic Badge to enter the Facility in Colorado. With positive energy, we can get there, www.teamusa.org
1. With your photo and info, this can be used as a signature board.
2. With enough to produce and print, you will see these magazines in the future at local and national events. For sale, at the SUPER BILLIARD EXPO, DERBY CLASSIC and MANY MORE, you will be creating your own way to the Olympics.
C) In this format of magazine pages, these are some benefits, which is detailed so please include all the information. Pool room owners can send their LOGO in PM's in order to get their own sections. Again, the benefits to start here are endless.
1. Add a nearby corner in your home town if you would like, and an e-mail in your private message to me. (do not put exact address for your privacy). You will be surprised who lives near you to get a ride to a tournament.
2. Equipment numbers can be calculated. In turn, you can get sponsors based on high numbers. So please include all that you use currently.
3. Rankings are fairly calculated - (No dumping for the GOLD, create your own class.)
4. Include all games you play.
5. Include your Home Pool Room, League or Tour Participation. ( Ultimately, this will get sponsorship from them too.) Think outside of the box. You still can have your same local rules and guidelines, but the Olympic Committee must have its own set of skills to SCORE you on. Which brings me to the most beneficial for your local room and instructors.
6. Jobs will be created and pool rooms will remain open to train your students, at your rooms based on the Olympic Manifest of Scoring Guidelines. Please help me to design this. I have a base plan but need expertise from advanced instructors and comrades.

OK - NOW HIT ME - bombard me with your info... However, it must be complete base on the outline of MY photo player profile listed below. OR rejected in the incomplete file.
IF there is someone out there that can design a file format for each individual to upload files to my administration, that would be ideal. PLEASE HELP THIS BILLIARD OLYMPIC AMBASSADOR.

First off, you will need to get a complete list of all the IOC committee members. Then allocate about 1-1.5 million dollars to each member. Small bills will not be needed, as Benjamins will work just fine. And sadly to say, this is just to get your foot in the door.

People REALLY think pool belongs in the Olympics...even as a demonstration sport? It makes me think I must have missed seeing all the athletes in pool halls the last 40 or so years of my life. I'm sorry...I like playing pool, and certainly am darn good at it still, and was a lot better when I was younger, but poking a ball on a table with a stick isn't an olympic event. Pool is what we did AFTER playing a sport.
I still play golf at a pretty high level, and IMHO golf has no business in the olympics.

BTW...is pool supposed to be a summer or winter olympic event. Does it even matter?

Mr. Texas Express - - - I would have liked your statement much more if it was to start of with a more positive response - - - I like WE - WE - WE need to get 1.2 million... Thank you and continue guiding me to establish a manifest of one UNION of players like this booklet that I have designed. It will pay for the end result itself, in time. With determination, I know that a scoring system can be defined and set throughout this UNION and taught to train champions. Therefore, competing for the highest score. NOT one game, one race or one tournament.

I guess that's what opinions are for.
Since golf is already an Olympic event there's no reason that pool shouldn't be. It belongs there just as much as Badminton, or Table Tennis, or Curling, or BMX Bicycling. Pool at the very least deserves Demonstration Sport status. When they have had other ridiculous events like Croquet or Tug of War or Ski Ballet. Pool should have it's opportunity as well.

Just because you don't need steroids or have 3% body fat to be good at pool does not mean it does not take a huge amount of skill and practice to play well. Table Tennis is big in the olympics, so is archery and shooting competitions, and many drunk bar people would be wondering why all those are in the Olympics since they can play table tennis and shoot a deer even after having 5 beers.

MR. LOST - I see your box is very small. In turn, knowing now why your LOST. I SEE that you play a lot of games and are good at it - I SEE that you don't portray this as a sport and just poke around. However you say your good and used to be better. Today when you practice I would like you to please utilize your superb skill knowledge of stroke, stance, position play and problem solving. With your mental preparation to succeed, imagine I am scoring your ability at the table. Just as an athlete would do in preparation to dribble the ball down a playing field. Of course you consider a soccer player an athlete. Or for that matter a curler or how about a pole dancer. POLE DANCING in now in the Olympics and degraded points for loss of techniques to accomplish perfectly. Back to training for the Olympics. I am giving you a perfect score to 100.00. You have 3 attempts ( as a balance beam ) at a 15 ball rack to accomplish that goal. Your highest score remains your final score. Break the rack, run the 15 balls in concession. "As Efren would do." You are allowed 1 lift or ball in hand. However it is a -15 deduction. If you miss 1 ball, you must go to your second rack. You are scored on your break. Your are scored on your shot preparation. You are scored on your position play. You are scored on completing your 15 ball rotation in consecutive order without missing. WHAT IS YOUR SCORE MR LOST? Similarly, do that with banks.

If you are serious about this, here are some points for you to consider....

The IOC does not organize the individual competitions nor does it want to get involved in doing so.

The IOC recognizes international governing bodies for each sport and those governing bodies are responsible for arranging the events at the Olympic Games.

The world governing body for cue sports is the World Confederation of Billiard Sports (WCBS).

Billiard sports already participate in the World Games and a format has been established for about 15 years. The WCBS set this format with the concurrence of its members, the UMB for carom, the IBSF/WPBSA for snooker, and the WPA for pool.

If you want to have any effect, you are almost certainly going to have to work within this structure.

If you want to participate in the pool part of the effort, you will need to contact the WPA, and I think your best contact there is Skip Nemecek who I think is the current rep to the WPA from North America.
