American Cowboy Billiards on E-bay. A disgrace.

I bought 2 tips from American Cowboy Billiards on E-bay. They were advertised as being Milk Dud tips, but had no maker associated. I asked him (Bob Moss) who made the tips. He responded that he was not at liberty to discuss, which was a red flag to me, but I've never had a bad experience purchasing anything pool related off of E-bay. There's a 1st time for everything however..

I received the tips, both were the most misshapen things I had ever seen. The 2 tips I received are COMPLETELY different in shape, size, and diameter. After I informed him of this, his response was, that they were tips made by Dudley, and that he had sold 1000's of them before.

I inquired to local pool cue makers, distributors, and billiard shops to see if anyone had Dudley Milk Dud tips in stock, so I could compare them to the tips I received. I did find one manufacturer locally that was willing let me come in and compare.

They're not even close. The ones that Greg had in a box, were uniform, same size, same diameter, same shape. The ones I received from Bob, were completely crooked, different diameters, and different sizes (height and width)

I'm not sure about this seller's other products, he's had multiple complaints about the "lathes" that he sells as well. But this product, he makes himself, and HORRIBLY at that, and has the audacity to claim that he sold you something else. BLATANT LIES. If you've had a similar experience with these people, please post a reply and let others know. I hope this helps others to avoid the headache of dealing with this dishonest and shady person.

Ripping people off for $5.95 is almost the saddest thing I've seen in this economy. What a joke of a human being. A complete waste of carbon if I've ever seen one.

I was at APA Nationals and I don't think he (Bob Moss) was there. Good thing too, I probably would have made a scene.

I think you are thinking of the Shaft Master guy. He was in the smaller vendor area acrosss from McDermott and the Pool Challenge card game where Mike Massey was.

I'm curious what kinda scene would have been made? This guy's a real creep. Genuinely rude, and a poor businessman, peddling second-rate (at best) wares.

There are threads on here (somewhere) about his uh.... lathe? or whatever it is, apparently it's a real piece of $&#%.

American Cowboy Billiards are bad news

Do a search and you'll find many complaints about ACB. Worst of all, Ebay stands behind them (as they generally do, - sellers=profits), and refuses to refund $ for the crap that ACB sells.

I agree that E-bay is looking out for his/their interests. Although they refunded my $5.95, to clarify, E-bay did, not Bob. But after E-bay refunded me, they removed my negative feedback. To me, the negative feedback was worth the $5.95, so I've asked to have it reinstated, and told them they could keep their $6. I have not heard back on this, nor do I expect to.
