amf 8-cue rack - was this a good buy?

i just got this cue rack on e-bay, new in box. do you all think it was a good buy?

anyone have any info, like when it was made ?

I think I paid about the same for mine. I searched long and hard for one that didn't have those crappy "clips" that you snap the cue into. Whoever invented that needs their ass kicked.

While I agree with you about the clips (I'm having a 12-cue floor-standing rack made to avoid hanging my cues on the wall), I can see some ham-fisted dummy pulling too hard on a butt and damaging/breaking a shaft with that rack.

It looks really nice, though.

it looks like it has some age on it. the back is a piece of solid wood. anyone familiar with amf products who can put a date on it?
