For some reason, I have not been able to find out the results of the Amway Cup. Couldn't even find it on the WPA site. Anybody know who the final 8 were and the results? Thanks in advance

vid 20150412-5

shows the winners getting trophy its not in English so I do not know the names, the vid was uploaded 4/12/15 and is 32.42 minutes long on u tube vlsports

The winner was LIN Yuan-Chun (LIN Yuanjun; 林沅君) from host country Taiwan. She also won in 2008.

I watched a lot of the matches, not in English so I listened to the radio while watching. I enjoyed it very much and all of the matches are on YouTube I believe.

The revelations in this tourney were Ticoalu from Indonesia and 17 year old World Junior Champ Liu Yu Chen from China. They both took down big names on way to semis before they were stopped by ex World Champs Rubilen and Lin
In final Lin Yuan Chun was in lead most of match but Rublien caught and had few chances to even match and bring to hill hill but she dogged some shots .And that was all she wrote
Champion Lin received cold hard cash of 1 million Taiwan Dollars (about USD32K) on stage. No nonsense or shenanigans like post dated cheques , bounced cheques, instalment payments etc :grin-square:

My friend Google found this one for me ...

Lin Yuan-chuan of Taiwan wins Amway 9-ball championship

Taiwanese billiard player Lin Yuan-chun defeated Rubilen Amit of the Philippines 11-9 to win the 2015 Amway eSpring International 9-ball Championship in Taipei on Sunday.

It was Lin's second win in eight years, following her victory in 2008.

Earlier in the day, Lin overcame Kelly Fisher of Great Britain to earn a berth in the semifinal, the only Taiwanese player to do so.

She then encountered a strong contender — China's Liu Yuchen who put up a fight until the last game, conceding defeat to the Taiwanese 9-8.

In the final, Lin was 0-2 behind Amit and went through three ties at 2-2, 3-3 and 5-5 before surging ahead to claim victory with 11-9.

A total of 40 players from around the world competed in the four-day event at Taipei Gymnasium.
