G'day , wondering if you some of you USA residents can give me the name of cue parts retailers or wholesalers in the USA or elsewhere ?
I know of Atlas , Prather and that bozo from Cuecomponents.com (needless to say what I think of him except calling him Bozo is being too polite) , but would like to know of any other similar businesses with websites I can cruise .

thanks , Bazza ;)

Actually the two you have listed are pretty much the two leaders in cue parts in this country. There are a lot of wood dealers around and there is a guy who makes steel joints and pins for cue makers but that's pretty much it. I used to buy my phonelics right from the manufacturer but they have been bought out and now their min. order is to high for me.
Chris Hightower also sells some stuff and he is often on this forum. Most cue makers make all of their parts from raw materials but Praether will build you anything you want - at a price -. Often new cue-makers use ready made veneered points when they are first getting started and getting their feet wet so to speak. Both Praether and Atlas sells these and they are both well made although their veneer lay-up is different. Samsara veneered points from Atlas are mitered as opposed to Praether's which are lapped. Just different styles.

cheers , mainly after different joiners , ferrules/materials , occasional shaft blank if someone's after a laminated shaft . I don't buy partial veneers or stuff like that but get quite a lot of my timber from Bellforest products , got my rear-chuck from Chris Hightower (no-one here in Oz has ever seen/heard of one before)
I guess Atlas is the go then , they seem a fair bit cheaper than Prathers and I need some more fibre , a few unilocs , probaly some threaded rod and some more phenolic rod I guess .

Thanks Dick , Bazza.
