An Intro by a rookie, from Sydney Australia

well the 2 leagues that run in the city are both handicapped which is great and means all skill levels are catered for.
both have end of season prizes - the overall season winners getting a paid trip to Vegas. one league sends to VNEA. the other to BCA.
both leagues are a couple of weeks into the current season so you'd have time ahead of the next one if you were interested. you should go along and have a look one night. it's great fun.
as for events - they are pretty regular. the next one is August 25th - its a NSW 10ball event.
Aaron

Cheers Aaron :)
These events are held at either the Huntsbury Hotel or the Bald Face Stag, right?
I'll definitely come pass with the crew.

There's another place we check out; Wembley Snooker Center, near Railway Sq.

yes the huntsbury and stag are the venues for the NSW 8ball league. played on bar tables. monday or tuesday nights. 3person or 5person team.
the cityheroes league is the other one. Diamond League. different format but the same deal. handicapped 8ball league. they throw in a rack of 9ball and a rack of scotch doubles 8ball into the mix too. depending on where you want to play in this league will be different table sizes. cityheroes obviously is the 9ft brunswicks. ten pin city (Lidcombe) is played on 7ft Diamonds. the have other divisions as well, in the Hills for example.
