An Offer to Streamers!

Please read below to get an idea of what we are offering.

I would like to offer an opportunity for you to join us at www.ontherailtv.com and have your show broadcast there. We would embed your chat and video on a custom made page on our website, for example if for instance your shows name was Cash Pool, it would be ontherailtv.com/cashpool. Having your own web page looks better when your trying to attract sponsors and you wont have to spend a bunch of money to build the page either as we do it for you.

We would be able to put any sponsor banners you might have on your page to give them exposure instead of just mentioning them verbally on your stream, if you do not have banners we can make them for you at no cost. OTR has its own sponsors so whatever deal you have with your sponsors is yours. We have a newsletter with nearly 2000 people signed up on it so when your stream is going to happen we send out an email to all of those people increasing your viewership. We are working on making OTR a place where pool fans can watch free pool nearly everyday of the week. You would also be offered technical support if you need it to help better your stream.

As of now we stream every Tuesday and the last Saturday of the month from Kolby's in Arizona. Dwight aka BigDogatLarge and James who stream Wednesday from Pockets in Florida just got on board with us. We want to pull in the streamers who are operating on their own and network together to bring pool to fans around the world and help the sport. Bob asked me to send you quick note about this post.

I talked with him this AM, passed your regards (and those of others) as you (they) asked, and told him of this post. He asked me to make the following response (I taped his response so this will read like a verbal conversation, minus my responses):

"Tell Lenny I am extremely happy he is so true to his word about providing help free of charge especially to folks such as Dwight who, like him, are putting forth the effort to promote pool. There must be lots of folks out there who would love to stream their events but don't have the know-how to do so and don't want to, how should I put this, deal with being sold a bill of goods by non-players who are out for a quick buck and could care less about the game itself. He has been there and done that so I can see where he can help cut out all the BS and get right to the meat of things and speed things along...everyone needs a shoulder to lean on when entering an unknown world! Pool streaming central.....I like the concept (of) not having to build a web page. That has gotta appeal to some (and) probably keeping them from streaming, you know intimidating.....probably thinking about the time needed to keep their page up and future costs of stuff, upgrades and the like. I like it, I like it alot...the more I think about it, the more I like it. (I) hope he starts out with the folks on AZ, even though they may already be streaming, like (he's done with) Dwight, (be)cause I can see them sharing things in the future, not only knowledge but equipment, moderating each others sites, helping out in the booth.....what a great idea, I hope this pans out. He might be onto something here. You know my (live) stream site on AZ right? Perhaps Lenny could contact all those folks plus I have many more then is on that list.....I'm still monitoring to see if they are legit. I have noticed that many have set up something on ustream but have not broadcasted anything as yet.....could be that intimidating thing I talked about. Who knows, this just might get them to start streaming-up. I gotta get with Lenny when I get back in country.....I still don't know when that will be, still looks like the middle of August sometime. Do me a favor will yea, tell all the folks that inquired about my welfare THANKS for caring and that I miss them. I haven't had time to do much but work, work, work...I'm gonna be so out of stroke (laughs). Thanks Brian for doing this.....now aren't you glad I couldn't take my lap top? Gotta run, my ride is here.....can't believe it, I actually got eight hours (of) sleep for a change. Thanks again Brian.....go watch some more streams, ask questions and say hi to everyone. Oh yea, finish going through that 99 Critical Shots in Pool book I left (and) practice, practice, practice. Thanks again man, gotta go."

I typed this the best as I could from the tape and cut out a lot of stuff not pertaining to pool. I will add that there is something missing from above, and that is his tone of voice. He was really excited about this idea and sincere about thanking those concerned for his welfare. Maybe now that he has not been able to shoot any I can win a game or two when he gets back. He will still have to give me some weight though--lots of weight.

Thanks Lenny, Bob said you and others on AZ were all about the game and promoting it free of charge for peeps like this poor college newbie--he sure was right!
