... so my local room is a Fast Eddies.... of course all of the tables are in quite good shape, with the 9fts covered in Simonis 860....and the place is pretty clean. HOWEVER... the condition of ALL of the house balls are wretched... and well, at every room I have ever been to, the balls have always sucked. (except Bogies in Houston)
I notice that I am the only one who brings my own rack of balls (S.A. procup).... It annoys me that most "serious" players who play there consistently play with the crappy equipment. Sure they can drop a whole hell of a lot for a set of cues, but of all things they skip the balls...
How many of you guys actually bring your own set? Very infrequently I see people with maybe a measles cue ball or a red circle, but that kinda defeats the point when all the other ones are in such crap condition. It's like buying a new set of Pirelli tires for a car that barely runs....
