SOLD!! And everything coming this way was perfect, I'll let Don tell you how he fared from his end. Thanks Don.prettiest conversion I have seen. Ivory points inlaid into the original points with malachite and mother of pearl gunsights inlaid into them. Butt sleeve has notched ivory windows, with malachite and mother of pearl barbells in them. Ivory joint, ivory slices at the handle, cue has about an hour play on it total. I have had the cue about two years and, somewhere, have a letter of authenticity from Andy about the cue which I got this year at Valley Forge < the letter I mean>. NO WEIGHT BOLT. Butt is pristine

Pics speak for themselves.

butt - 15.1 ounces
shafts- 2- 3.8 each, on the nose by my scale
ferrules, ivory
tips, moori mediums
points, long and REAL close to even
veneers, BRIGHT
wrap, leather

I want $2250, I will listen to any reasonable offer NEAR that, I'll consider taking a partial trade.

Cue is 99.9% perfect and I cant find the difference that makes it short of 100%, only offer that *because*.

More pics if needed. Thanks for looking.

Doc W.

Bump.. This cue looks new. Nice verneers too.

Doc, how's Chicklet doing? I've got a new recipe for her. :)

Beautiful cue. I know cuemakers are strange people, but I just will never understand why Andy won't sign a conversion, but he won't. Something about if he didn't make the cue from scratch, he won't sign it. A piece of artwork like that deserves to be signed by the artist who breathed new life into it.

thanks

Its prettier than it looks, and I do understand why he wont sign it ( from his point of view ) but he did write a letter for me authenticating it . Not sure where that is, but I know the history of the cue. Two made, one with malachite, one with turquoise, and the one with turquoise has nowhere near the veneers or points this one does.

Thanks for the comment.

Beautiful and original design. I know that some cue-makers won't even build a cue unless they made the blank as well - they don't consider it 'their' cue.

If I played with a Gilbert, I think I would have to rationalize buying this.

Purdman, I have seen a few  Titlist conversion cues, had a couple made, and even saw some others by Andy Gilbert in the past. This cue HAS to rate right up there in the top 1-2 cues to me. Absolutely stunning. Me thinks you have a winner, sir.
