This cue has all Ivory inlays
Ivory Joint
Copper ring work with Ivory
Ivory Ring with Redwood on Butt cap
Redwood Veneers and Ebony forearm
It comes with 2 shafts that have never been chalked
The wrap is Elephant hide
On the forearm it says Gilbert 13.

Your right it does look like there is chalk on it. It must be from the case bc neither shaft has been played with.
 
You are right - if you put the shafts tip down in a case it will accumulate and rub off onto the tip. I have had this happen to me. The chalk was probably deposited by a shaft to an older cue.
