Another 8-ball rule challenge. Drop Pockets.

Does it seem like I want to get technical about it?

This is a waste of bandwith, good luck with the trolling for replies

Well then I'll delete the thread. I was just thinking of something to talk about. I've never once cheated in a game. And if there are questionable hits, I have always given the shot to my opponent.

People will hail Cornbread or Detroit Whitey as heroes, but then won't even let me open my mouth about this shot.

Its not a valid shot nor even a decent attempt at a creative shot. Its a scratch and loss of game. Unless your playing BCA then its ball in hand for your opponent anyway.

In some places, if you try bullshit like that, you get a cue cracked across your head. So I wouldn't suggest "being cute" in a gambling match. You should probably learn all the rules before you try seemingly "shady" shots.

Its no different than playing bar rules where your opponent doesn't feel they have to hit their ball first and taps to a safety. OR playing ball behind the headstring on a scratch, your on the 8 ball, and your opponent hits the cue in the pocket intentionally. Its Bullshit, chicken ass playing and thats why there are rules like ball in hand, etc.

Before you try to be cute about stuff...learn the rules...then get cute with shots.

And if you want to be technical about it, I just asked what your reaction would be. I never said I planned on doing this.

My reaction would be pleased since I would have just won the game since you scratched on the 8. Saved me the time from making 4 balls for the out.

I guess it would depend on who you are playing. Some people are affected when others try to shark them, while others simply don't care and play their own game. Seriously though, do you really want to earn the reputation of the player that tries to shark everyone he plays?
