Another Airline Travel Case Option

This may be a dumb question, & I know that heat (leaving your cue in your car, etc) will warp a cue very quickly. But how about the freezing temps of the cargo hold at 30K feet?

Do the lower temperatures affect the cues the same? For example a flight from NY to LA or even to another country, the cues could be subject to some low temperatures for a period of time.

Just curious.

I don't want to sound like a smart ass, but when you fly do you feel freezing? The answer is no, because they pressurize the plane, and keep the temp constant too. This means the whole entire plane. People ship things like their pets in the cargo space. So there is no problem putting your cue in the cargo spot. It isn't any colder than the rest of the plane, so don't worry. (And UPS and Fedex use planes too!!!)

I had some people tell me that I couldn't pack a case of soda in my suitcase cause it would explode. LOL I laughed my ass off and asked them what you think the stuertess serves you when you ask for a soda?

The plane is pressurized and temperature regulated. Therefore whatever is safe to take in the cabin, is also safe in the cargo area. Provided you have taken into account that it will be thrown around.

Well, I've got a question now.

If a player put their break cue and shooting cue in a cloth case, one of those Lucasi velvet jobs, and packed it in their BIG suitcase, would the airlines allow the BIG suitcase in the baggage area?

The player would still have to pick up his/her luggage at the end of the flight, but I was wondering if they would make the player remove the cue sticks out of the bigger luggage. I am referring to the luggage that the passenger does NOT carry on board with them, but is placed elsewhere on the plane, to be picked up at the conclusion of the flight.
