Another bank pool question

I guess my real question here is-Are there any shots that are not a kick, carom or combo that would pretty much be a regular bank to some players but are not allowed in a real bank pool game?

Complicated question. Simple answer. Only banks are allowed in bank pool. If its a bank its good whether frozen or not. You call it you shoot it, if it goes you get credit. Don't over think it. Just play.

But on a more serious note. Are Jump shots and rail jumps by object ball allowed? Because sometimes theres just a ball in the way

You can jump a ball if it ends in a bank. You must call the banked ball. I've seen this in a one pocket game. No stipulation was made
jumps weren't allowed and the guy jump banked a straight back in the corner from the side rail and ran out. Not a shot many I know would take but the guy jumped well and felt it was worth it so he took it and got lucky.

Lol. I’d never pull a regular jump unless down 3 with other person on the hill. The OB rail jump comes in handy though. It’s another one you don’t really think too much about in banks. Or in any real game. Cause chances are higher you will miss. But when you are having a night you just can’t miss. Why not take it out of that back pocket where it’s been sitting for months and go for it? Watch some less skilled players that hit hard. They rail jump OBs all the time and don’t even know it.
