Thought I should post this. Just received an email from member@ebay.com
Following is a copy/paste from the text of the message:
"eBay sent this message on behalf of an eBay member via My Messages. Responses sent using email will go to the eBay member directly and will include your email address. Click the Respond Now button below to send your response via My Messages (your email address will not be included)."
His/Her remarks were:
"Look,
There are now 2 months since I paied for the item and I still didn`t receive it.This is my last warning : unless you solve the problem the first thing I shall report you to ebay and second I shall go to the police .
I am loosing my patience..."
Interesting thing is, I have never sold anything on eBay. Bought a few items, but have never had a problem with any sellers.
What the sender is hoping for is that the recipient of the email will click on the "Respond Now" button. Just another way to get your email address/hack into your eBay account/steal your dog/or whatever.
If you receive something like this, just log into your eBay and check your messages. DO NOT click on the "Respond Now" button in an email.
Someone's always trying to get over on someone else, huh?
Edit: In the email they were referring to item # 5801824341 (which does not exist)
