I posted this in the Main forum also.

Just saw this on the banner at the top of the page. Looks like an event that will rival the size of the DCC. It will be interesting to see how successful this will be, and if it has any effect on the DCC in Jan.

Those flyers were floating all around the DCC. The timing is pretty odd...just 2 months before the DCC itself. Since Diamond looks to have a hand in it, I'm sure Greg can elaborate.
 
Doesn't this coincide witht he 2007 WPC in Manila? If that is the case, a lot of top players will not be attending this in favor of the 2007 WPC.
 
Bca Location In Louisville

Main Difference Is The Location . The Bca Will Be Held On The East Side Of Town . It Will Be Much Closer For Players Traveling From The East , Say Ohio. For Local Players It Will Be A Longer Drive , No Players Live On The East Side . Derby Classic Is More Of A Central Location, But It Is Starting To Out Grow The Hotel Where It Has Been Traditionally Held.
 
I've been to all 9 of the Derby City Classics and each year it get better and better! There's something there for everyone. It's like Las Vegas pool. I also attended the Qlympics and enjoyed seeing some pro players. I can't believe how low the attendance was for both players and spectators as compared to DCC and even the first DCC. Another addition to DCC that made it better was Bob Jewett's 14.1 competition! I can't wait until it starts! It's a must for any pool enthusiast.
