After seeing the homemade light that my friend Red and I built for my table we were asked to make one for another friends 9 ft table. Please look at the one we made last week and give me any ideas that might make it a better light. The first one was 100 inches by 50 inches which is the same size as the cloth on the table, we painted the inside parts of the frame bright white and used the best color bulbs and good quality electronic ballast fixtures with chrome 1/2 inch foam insulation for the top side of frame to help reflection and we used the Lowes stores chrome grid in the bottom. We hung my light at 53 inches over cloth and that might be to high but there is no shadows, What wood would make the frame light and still strong I found two pieces of redwood in a scrap pile to build mine but will have to buy wood this time.Looks like about $300 in materials to start with so give me some ideas how to do it better.--Leonard
