I bought two boxes a few days ago and figured I would post my thoughts.
It should be noted that I am an 'underhand' chalker. I use my non bridge hand to chalk, swiping the chalk against the tip with the palm of my chalking hand facing up, right under the chalk. I chalk between most shots, besides the times where I just roll the ball.
I have always had this issue where I collect a very fair amount of chalk in the creases of my palm as the chalk dust falls from the tip to my hand. After a short time my hands do become very messy. After 2 4-hour sessions playing with the magic chalk I had very little residue on my hands. I don't know if this is because the particles in magic chalk are smaller or bigger in a way that they don't cling to my hand or what. I do know it makes clean up easier, and surely means it's clinging to my shaft less too. Less blue on me and my cue make me happy.
No comment on miscueing because in my opinion that's operator error.
