This Thursday, October 2, 2008, beginning at 6:30 PM my wife Bonnie and I would like invite our IBC members and friends to an evening of complimentary Cake, Coffee and Championship Billiards.
Next week the IBC begins its 35th Annual 14.1 Straight Pool Leagues. What nicer way to introduce such a unique and time honored achievement than celebrating the event with friends gathered together in celebration of one of American billiards greatest games and respected billiard personalities as former 14.1 World Champion, Mr. Bobby Hunter, and Chicago's own top ranked contender for over four decades, Mr. Eddie Latimer.
The IBC will open this Thursday at 6:00 PM. One, 200 point game of 14.1 Championship Straight Pool will begin at 7:00 PM sharp. Coffee and cake will be served at the close of the first 100 point block. Play will resume after a 30 minute break and shall continue until either contender pockets their 200th, and winning point, and with it, the private club's title as, "The IBC's 35th Annual 14.1 Champion."
To help make the evening even more complete, six of the clubs tables will remain open and available for open play at regular club rates, but in respect to both contenders shall be limited to billiards more in-depth and genteel games of 14.1, one-pocket or three-cushion billiards.
Mr. Latimer and Mr. Hunter's match will be played on table number eight and also in respect to both contenders, table seven shall remain closed until after the match, congratulations extended and photos taken.
This special match will be video recorded .
