Another pool myth debunked: "pool isn't exciting"

Nobody who has watched this mosconi cup (or any other, really), and the excitement in the audience can seriously argue that pool isn't a watchable spectator sport.

Yeah, there are a lot of things going into this. The prestige of the event. The US-vs-Europe thing that gives fans someone to cheer for and makes people care. And also the short races, where pressure is on every shot.

But, at the end of the day, here we have 1000 screaming fans watching every shot intently, oohing and aahing whenever someone gets out of line, going nuts at the great shots and gasping at the blunders. It shows that, under the right conditions, pool is an incredibly exciting sport to watch.

Now the task is to create those conditions outside of just the Mosconi cup.

Yes under these conditions with screaming fans it's entertainment ,, put it in a Church slow the game down to a snails pace and the only one watching is the residents church mice

Pool is most definitely a watchable game. And, exciting.
We were playing team One Pocket the other day when a young Asian girl, in a short skirt, bent over the table next to us for a shot.
One of our older player saw her and had to take a nitro-stat. :smile:
