i wasnt in the pool room biz but gas prices cost me my biz after 11.5 years, i had to lay-off 700 people, some of who worked 10+ years for me with familys, they built their career around my biz, man that hurt. As of yet I still havent figured out what to do. Its impossible to open a pool room in Vegas of LA, I'd do it if I could make just a little bit of $$ for something to do, I dont see it working, Even If you own the building, I dont know if its worth it. I'd rather collect rent from someone else and play pool at home or the joint around the corner-he is having his worst summer too in 18 or 19 years.

The fear is that this one may be much deeper, and longer than most others.

its gonna get alot worse, Europe is now is a recession too just laging behind America, I have a feeling this one will be the worst recession in modern time, much worse than the 70's. As much as I dont like Bush and company I believe this is much bigger than they are, not to say they arnt partially responsible for it, I believe they are, but to think its "their fault" is far to narrow thinking, there are alot of reasons forgine and domestic this thing has been in the making long before Bush or his Dad rose to power, its gonna get worse. 47% of people who bought their houses in Ca in the past 5 years are in a negitative equity position. Just wait for the fall out of that, with oil prices high as they are, and unemployment and competition from China- shits gonna get tough for along time.
