another question re: raising rings

I just read the thread on raised metal rings. It was very informative; thanks to all who posted in the discussion.
I have a cue that has raised brass rings (shrunken cocobolo and ebony) and I've wondered if it could be corrected during a refinish.

They can be trued up during the refinish. Eventually they will pop again but it can be minimized by keeping the cue at a constant temp. Make sure you don't leave it in the trunk, ect..
