LMAO, he stated he didnt know about cues. But he just so happened to know it was Birdseye Mable with Cocabola, and it has a Uni-Lock pin. Gezzz where does this dude come up with his excuses. That was a stupid way 2 start the auction off...=-)

I'm a newbie when it comes to e-bay and pool cues. How did you figure out it was a fraud? His feedback looks solid.

There have been several threads about a Searing cue for sale and it is always the same picture with the same exact description. This makes it the 4th time I saw this cue.
I did not see the initial posting of the cue but another good hint is if the item is posted for a very short duration (1-day or 3-day auction). In the case of the short auction, the account has been intercepted by a thief who uses an unsuspecting users account. The thief then works quickly to get someone to wire money at a really cheap price.
There are other things they do (second chance offers to everyone who bid to scam the buyers) but stear clear of this cue.

Later!

That explains it. Somebody hacked my e-bay account a few months ago, I was lucky I caught it right away within just a few hours. Still the guy managed to bid on several BMW automobiles. I got e-mail responses for about a week from people who said they wouldn't ship their BMW to Germany.

E-bay needs to hire more fraud investigators.
