You may not agree with the report that this article cited (and I'm not going to comment on that at all here) - but all this is is an article about the report. The author who wrote this had no bias one way or the other, as best I can tell from reading it. Giving him grief for writing it is silly.

Hey Texas Poolnut -- Chill, pal. The writer had a little fun with story, and that's no crime. To my eye, there's not a shred of anti-pool bias in that piece.
 
Billiards as an Olympic sport, now that would be cool.

By the way, in the article it says, "beer could explain the sport's disproportionately high number of failures." Do a significant number of professionals drink before a match?
 
This article is retarded. It suggests that we're using performance-enhancing drugs when they are merely talking about what the Olympic Committee would deem inappropriate consumption that would lead to disqualification. Yes folks, BEER is likely the primary culprit. I'm sure if pool enforced a policy consistent with the Olympic Committee, things would be slightly different. Since at most tournaments, there is a waitress coming by your table every three minutes asking, "Would you like a pint of banned-substance?" I doubt this will change any time soon.
