I just wanted to share a few things from my visit with Mr. Nick Varner this past Saturday.
Nick shared the original TAD he used to win his first world championship with (photos included). It played AMAZING. (Edited to clarify, I did not buy Nick’s TAD - he was just sharing some cool cues with me that day)
I was fortunate to be able to buy a few special cases from Nick. First, the custom It's George case he used during his legendary 1989 season, where he won 11 out of 22 pro events. Unexpectedly, but to my happy surprise, I was also able to buy his special THOMAS case, that was made for Nick Varner and Meucci. It's gorgeous as well with some cool Meucci medallions. Nick was still playing phenomenal pool while using this case, to include beating a prime time Johnny Archer in the finals to win a Sands Regency 9 Ball Event (available on youtube). If these cases could talk!
