You would be shocked if I told you how many AM cues have been in my hands and yes double that amount when it comes to “different” 5/16x14 shafts (both wood and carbon) attached to my AM butts. Wonder why nobody never sent their AM and different brand 5/16x14 shaft that I sold to them back to me. And I guess the different 5/16x14 joint protectors I’ve used weren’t supposed to work neither. Yes absolutely made my day!

All good and no need to take this further as I was just highlighting the compression joint line but focused and really laughed when you said “It doesn't fit any 5/16x14”. You said that and I didn’t. Of course Anthony’s joints are compression types but you cleaned it up when you said “I got shafts of his that don't fit on all of my butts that he made.” So clearly his shafts do work with some/probably most piloted butts.They're from two different AM cues.. Just be clearer the next time out as I haven’t had one AM piloted shaft that was returned because it didn’t fit the piloted butt, whether it be Anthony’s butt or some other piloted butt.
And yes I definitely know what I’m talking about as I’ve had many AMs and religiously interchanged his shafts with other piloted butts that nested like a damn bee to honey. And I second the quality of anything AM.
All good my friend and absolutely no worries. I used to live in Anthony’s shop and was in there at one point maybe weekly getting this and that done. And if I bring the dang dunkin donuts caramel ice coffee (sorry Anthony
) that he likes I can never ever get out of there timely. Think I’ve had 10+ original AM cues over the last two years and that’s not counting the standalone Kielwood shafts he has made for me. Just down to two AM Kielwoods now.I recall some messages in the past where buyers wanted to know if I had another AM shaft as they wanted to use it with a non-AM butt. Stay well and glad we cleared this up.
