it is too bad to hear such a thing at Jim's pool room - he is a nice guy. behind the pool room, there was never much lighting, but what a black mark. for those of you that travel that way, it is a good room to visit - nothing fancy, but generally good people to play with.........

It is a nice place to play and really good people, patrons and staff. That part of town is going in the wrong direction. IMO

I really like to play at Antiques but you're right Joe, that part of town(along with some others) is going to crap. I play there usually during the day on weekends so I'm not there at night unless it's league and for this reason exactly, the night crowd isn't a good one. Jim does his best to keep it clean with his dress code and stuff but he can't do anything about stuff like this. It's a huge place and there was a tournament there this past weekend that was quit good I hear. I was there for a while but couldn't play and had to leave but MANY good players and I believe a full field of 64.

Me too!

Your right about the area onf town. I was there last weekend too. I only go during the day, usually on the weekend for the obvious reasons. You're also correct about the staff they are constantly reminding the kids about thier hats must be on only in the forward position. Did you ever sell that Kikle? We still have to try and play some, sometime.

wow.....sorry to hear about the shooting.

I was there about a month ago, met Jim and bought a cheapie cue from him to play with while I was in town. I played there a couple of times and played well into the night, never had any problems and met some nice people.

Too bad.......:(

Why it happened

Sorry I forgaot the link, here it is.

Here's an article explaining why this shooting happened. After reading it I had a hard time deciding which one was the smart one. The one who shot the gun or the one who gave up the gun. From the results I guess the one who is going to keep on living is the smart one. What a waste, two families destroyed. One guy going to jail and the other one probably going to die. For what? What ever happened to punching someone's light out, then going to the bar and buying the guy a beer. Times have really changed.
