Antique locking pool rack

Sorry for no pics right now I will upload later. I recently acquired a vintage Brunswick Collander 12 cue rack. There are two metal pieces on either side that seemed to hold a locking bar. Was this a factory option or accessory? The metal on the left side wraps around the contour and has a hole for a rod. The right hand side piece has a locking mechanism, both are held with slotted screws. Does anyone have a picture of the rod or gate themselves? Any help would be great. Again I will upload pics tonight.

I've seen a few of those years ago, when a lot of home room players
played with 1-piece cues.
The locking device on every one that I saw was after-market.
If it was my rack, I would get rid of the hardware.
