If there are any casemakers here, would like to discuss a project in further detail with you. Looking to make tube leather cases like they use for pool, but for snooker 3/4 cues. Typical 3/4 cue is split at 12-15" from butt, so shaft is usually 35-40" inches. Can a tube leather case meant for 2 piece cues be retrofitted with a longer tube attached/on the side for the longer shaft that would be well protected?

Any case can be retrofitted but the cost depends on how nice you want the job to be. At the low end you take a tube and rubber band it to the existing case. At the high end you dismantle the existing case and rebuild it to include the modification.

Better in my opinion to start from zero and build the case you want from the ground up.
