Any consensus on a good balance point?

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering if there's any consensus out there about what people like on balance point of the cue. I play with a cue where the balance point seems to be about 17 inches from the butt. I'm thinking that I might benefit from a cue with a bit more forward balance, but I'm not sure if that's common.

Hi,

I set my weight and balance envelope at 20" based on a 4.0 oz shaft configuration. If a shaft is 4.5 for example it will shift my moment arm a little more forward of the 20" datum.

My cues are designed to be forward weighted with very dense stiff shafts. You must find the recipe that you like that make your cues play the way you like them.

You will never be all things to all players and strokes so you might as well draw you line in the sand and be consistent. The players that play with you cues will give you the feedback.

The most important objective feed back is sales generated by those who have tried your cues and place an order. Everything else is subjective.
