Any feedback welcome

Very nice stroke...consistent PSR...good route planning. If I had to find something wrong, I would say your bridge distance is a little longer than I would like, but it doesn't seem to be causing any problems for you, so as they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'm guessing you have either been to a good pool school, or had a very good instructor help you get to that point.

Good job!

Thanks for the compliment. I have noticed on shots using more english that I tend to shorten my bridge length. If i don't, I tend to miss more. I will try it out on a normal basis next practice session I get.

Actually, I am self taught. With the exceptions of a couple books and youtube videos. I am planning on seeing an instructor when things on the home-front settle a bit (3 month old girl).

Wow, nice job. You have done well. Looks like a GCI?
If anything, your back stroke is too quick....

Thanks for watching and commenting! That is one thing that I struggle with a little. Everything feels smoother if I do it quicker, but it definitely can mess my speed up. On the flip side, you should have seen it a couple years ago. You might have needed a slow motion camera to see it!

Yup, a GC1 Pro8 with the rails extended to tighten the pockets. Plays pretty damn good.

Hi Nat- Great video! I have a few questions to ask you I hope its ok with you. How long have you been playing? What training materials did you find the most beneficial to you? How often did you practice and did you use a set routine for practicing for example certain drills for specific parts of your game? Also what aiming system do you use? I have a hard time visualizing that ghost ball I just can't seem to see it.

I thought the quality of the video was great what video camera did you use to film it? Keep up the great work. I really liked that Joe T video on your YouTube page. I am going to go buy me some golf tee's tomorrow. I am also thinking of going see JT for some lessons. I just don't want to be too elementary for his instruction.

I have had a few lessons in the past with both good and not so good results from various instructors. I spend the majority of my time practicing approx 10-15 hrs a week. I sometimes feel as though I am unable to surpass my current level of play. I hope to be able to beat the Ghost someday. Thanks again for the great videos and best of luck with your game!

Thanks!

I have been playing for about 5 years a couple nights of league and weekly tournaments. About a year ago I decided to get more serious and started practicing at home 2 hours a night. To get my stoke straight and routine down, I did about an hour of mostly long straight in shots (stop, follow and draw). Then I worked out of "The Pro Book" for a bit, and then random drills that I found online. I also worked out of Joe Tucker's "Guaranteed Improvement" book.

Nowadays, just had our second child, I only get a night or two of practice a week along with a night of league and a weekly tournament. My wife plays too so we chop time out. When I do get on the table I start with maybe 10 minutes of straight in, then work on any problem shots. Then I typically play the ghost for an hour or so.

Sorry kinda wordy. Not saying that was the best or easiest route to go but it's working for me.

The camera, believe it or not, is on my phone. It is a LG G2X and films in Full 1080p HD.

Hope that helps! :)

Wolf trap graduate

Just decided to post a video of me playing the ghost taken last night. If anyone (instructors esp.) would like to provide any feedback that would be appreciated! :D

Thanks for viewing.

Nice video Nat. Seen you play before, so no shocker to me! Didn't you get your table from Kent? I bought a gc3 a few months ago with shimmed pocs. Are yours shimmed or rails extended. If you had them extended, who did it and how tight. I can't take a video cause too much junk in the room! LOL. Did you hear I won James nine ball thingy? Beat Victor twice! You were having your baby so I took it down. I was thinking you got your table from AAA, if si did Shannon install for you? I was leary of a lady installer but I could tell she knew her stuff. James challenge match thing seems to be stuck in the mud. Guess he will call when ready. Contests on the baby. Kris

Hey Kris! Thanks for watching.

Yeah I got that table from Kent. He did the work on the rails while it was there. The rails were extended to tighten the pockets to 4.5 inches. Shannon did install it with a helper. She does pretty good work. She also had done work on the barbox that we had before the GC1.

As for James, he kept saying that he's working on the website. So I'm not sure, I haven't asked about it recently.
