So I am thinking about purchasing a table in Boston but I live in Houston. Any good suggestions on companies or ideas?

Uhaul seems to be very expensive so thats a no go.

Forget Boston. Buy a table in Houston. It will save you lots of money and headache.

Boston table

It depends on the table whether it would be worth the effort or not. If it's a rare table and it's in great shape, go get it if it's at a good price. If it's a rather common table, and there is no sentimental value, shop closer to home. Let us know what it is, unless you don't want anyone to beat you to a great deal, which I understand.

I used Uship. My table I bought was already broken down by a pro in the area. I couldn't have moved it for the price I paid. UHaul would have cost me more, and I would have had to drive the 11 hr 700 mile drive as well. By the time I figured in gas, time, and equipment I didn't have it would have cost more than UShip. Also my shipper paid for the table out of their own pocket. Seller wouldn't except PayPal. Shipper took pictures before packing, and called to let me know what was wrong with the table before they loaded it. IMO it was a good way to do it.

Very few options for tables where I live so that was the best option for me. I spent $250 for the table, and about $500 for the shipper. The last table I found that was like mine sold for $1500. It may not be a great option for some that have more options, but the best one I had. The worst part is buying unseen, and hoping you get what you expected. That was why I liked the fact the shipper paid for the table. If it was not what they said or it was in pieces they just got a table, and a trip home with no money in their pocket.
