I think the yellow stuff is delrin.

In fact I'm pretty sure it is.

I haven't seen it that yellow.
I use the ivory colored one once in a while.

Pretty sure Yellow is polyprop and white is HDPE

Curious, I also have a piece of what looks like the same, it does look pretty cool. Kind of hoping it's not a bearing or bushing material, at least not self-lubricating ...might be difficult to glue.

Just read a little about it, interesting stuff ...probably Zero chance of getting glue to stick to it though.

I guess the Molybdenum disulfide is what gives it the color and kind of pearled appearance.



Does it leave marks???

No, mine don't leave marks. The only way it would leave a mark is---if your chuck jaws were no good and you tighten the chuck too tight.

I bore each one to fit a certain size. Stuff machines real nice and you always get a good finish.

I make my collects with a .070 wall thickness. I know, thinner than normal. As long as the inside diameter runs true with the outside diameter, it's all good.
