Any ideas as to the Casemaker?

"This is handcrafted by a well respected expert in leather." According to the description.

It's hard to see any good detail based on the pictures. Lot of tooling for $480. I'd be suspect of it unless I could see better pictures and judge the over all quality.

I guess I am just skeptical of the people who sell "handcrafted" stuff while being all mysterious about who made it.

If you are that afraid of being cut out then you need to work on your relationship skills.

Well I post it because it was unique, and wondered.

It's cool. I just don't understand the logic of posting crappy pictures and a mysterious description.

Why do people bother if they aren't going to show some detail on a new item no one has ever seen before?

I mean if I want to sell a $500 case then the least I can do is show some detail.

I think that there are a lot of leather workers who can easily make cases like this with a side seam. Any leather worker who is truly good though is going to want more than $500 for this amount of work.

Anyone can tool leather. It's not hard to learn and the barrier to entry is low. However learning to do it well takes a lot of practice and a keen eye for detail.

So maybe I am being harsh but until I see detail and how well the work is this case remains "unique" but not necessarily "good". It could be great, I don't know.
