Any input on these?

I have the same set, but enco based. I never used them. I will send them to you for less than that set if you want em. They are gold in color and still in the packaging.

Oh, to your question, I never used em, but they were recommended by a more experienced cue maker I had spoken too.

Two problems I ran into with cheap import carbide bits is #1 the carbide is often set on at an angle that will not give a good cut. #2 is that the carbide is often put on too high to work on a 1/4" center tool height. The first requires resharpening to correct. The second requires modification to the tool post to lower the tool bit, which is easy to do with a milling machine. The first is not easy as it requires a good bit of skill and a special grinding stone on your grinder.
If you get lucky and they do not have either of those problems the bits are a steal at twice the price that auction is going for.

They may be poor quality carbide

The main problem I've run into when I've tried to save a buck on stuff like this is the quality. I purchased some really cheap brazed carbide tools once. The price was great, but the carbide chipped almost immediately. Considering this, they weren't much of a deal:( For my money, I'll pay the extra to get tools that I know will perform.
