Any interest in an AZB mini at the expo?

I've been thinking.... there are a lot of tables here, and they're open to the public after midnight.

There are a lot of AZBers here, too, and we talk about the game online all day, but rarely have the chance to get together and play in the real world.

What if we put the two together? Does anyone else think it would be a good time if we got together and played out an informal AZB mini tournament? I'm thinking we could each throw $20 or so into a pot and grab some of the "midnight madness" tables. We could pay out the top quarter of the field and run the bracket online through one of the websites discussed in the tournament director thread on the front page. If enough people are interested, I'll volunteer to run it.

I'm heading back to my room to catch a couple hours of sleep, but post here if you're in and we can get it going tonight or tomorrow night.

I love the idea! I was thinking something similar and going online to see if someone else start it. I don't know anyone here, but I thought some of you guys may know each other.

Let me know when and where! I will definitely be there around 12 am tonight practicing.

I'm in ...

Keep me posted, I could be in for Saturday Night. Send me a PM if you can get something together...

So I posted this on Thursday. Wednesday night after the warmup tournament, it was dead. Right now, it's 2am and all of the tables are still full, last night was similar, and I'm sure it will get busier on Saturday night, so I don't think it's realistic to be able to run some kind of bracket in a reasonable amount of time. I'm going to try to get to the practice area early enough tomorrow (Saturday night) to get a table when open time starts. If you guys (or anyone else here) want to get together and shoot a few games, send me a pm with your cell and I'll text you the table number. If we only have a few people, we might be able to do some kind of round robin on one table, or we could just put faces to screen names and play. Either way, I'm always up for new people to shoot with.
